Job summary

Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems (AES) in Redmond, WA seeks a Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead the Airborne Power & Control Engineering Product Support Team. You will guide a skilled group of engineers and technicians, drive DO-254 compliance, and align projects with strategic goals while supporting customer expectations.

With 10+ years in leadership of aerospace electronics, you will manage design updates, failure analysis, and qualification activities, while fostering a culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 10+ years of related experience, including managing teams.
• Strong expertise in aerospace electronics design.
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred; DO-254 and ARP4754 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Electrical Engineering team, overseeing projects from concept to completion while meeting technical requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Provide SME guidance on DO-254 compliance and engineering processes; drive tool evaluations and implementations.
• Oversee failure investigations and root-cause analyses; refine company specifications and share lessons learned.
• Partner with HR and management to implement performance reviews, career development, and staffing optimization.
