Job summary

VHB is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead for their Energy Evolution Practice in Boston, MA. This role involves leading electrical engineering services for substations, managing projects, engaging in business development, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Strong project management skills, client relationship management, and expertise in substation projects are essential. The salary range is $125,000-$160,000 annually, and the position offers a hybrid work environment alongside best-in-class benefits.

Qualifications

• 8-11+ years of experience required in the field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical substations preferred.
• PE (Professional Engineer) license required.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and National Electric Safety Code is necessary.
• Experience in the northeastern U.S. is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow electrical engineering services.
• Engage in business development and client relations.
• Manage substation projects from initiation to closeout.
• Collaborate with multidiscipline project teams.
• Develop/review technical documentation and specifications.
• Support construction through site visits and RFI/submittal reviews.
• Monitor and project financial performance.
• Mentor staff and build a strong team.
