Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Functional Manager to lead a team of Electrical Engineers and work with program management to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product on time and within budget.

You will guide staffing, cost estimation, technical direction, and performance reviews while maintaining compliance with security requirements. The role requires collaboration across disciplines and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 15+ years of experience (12+ with MA/MS, 10+ with PhD).
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Electrical engineering team to meet technical, program and business objectives.
• Program resource planning and staffing.
• Recruit staff to meet business demand and assign personnel to projects.
• Provide technical oversight, mentorship and coaching.
• Manage performance reviews and career development.
• Control resources to meet budget and schedule targets.
• Establish cost and schedule targets and monitor execution.
• Support contract negotiations and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to technology roadmap planning and innovation.
• Budgeting for OH, capital, and software subscriptions.
• Champion quality and continuous improvement of processes.
