Job summary

The Baker Company in Sanford, ME is seeking an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead the Electrical team and drive the design, development, and continuous improvement of electrical systems for our laboratory equipment.

You will supervise engineers and technicians, coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing, and ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards while promoting Lean practices.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of five years as an Electrical Engineer, plus five years in a technical supervisor/manager role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with motors, machine control systems, and hardware/software development.
• PMP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Electrical team; oversee hiring, training, and performance.
• Lead safety initiatives and cross-department process improvements.
• Ensure ISO-9001 compliance and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Oversee engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD standards.
• Manage workload, KPIs, and budgeting for the department.
• Coordinate ERP interactions and engineering-to-sales configuration.
