Job summary

Formlabs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Winter/Spring 2027. The role is onsite in Somerville, MA, with a portfolio requirement and an opportunity to design, prototype, and validate electronics and electromechanical subsystems.

You will work with engineers to develop system requirements and hands-on hardware solutions for real products. Ideal candidates have experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and PCB design, and enjoy coding in C and Python.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Portfolio of engineering work required.
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, feedback, or motor control.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and validate electronics and electromechanical subsystems.
• Work with engineers to develop system requirements and design decisions.
• Prototype boards, solder components, and test hardware on real products.
