Job summary

Stantec’s Phoenix, AZ office is seeking a Student Intern to join our water resources team. You’ll help collect and organize data, run calculations, and prepare charts and graphs using Excel or hydraulic modeling software.

You’ll support design documents, prepare drawings, and assist with technical memoranda and reports. The role offers exposure to pipeline, conveyance, pump station projects across Arizona and the western U.S., with field investigations, client interactions, and professional

Qualifications

• In progress toward earning a Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or Master’s degree in civil/environmental engineering, biosystems engineering, water resources engineering, or related field
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Strong interest in water resources and infrastructure design
• Experience with Excel and data handling for modeling and reporting
• Willingness to work in a team and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Gain and apply experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design and applicable laws/policies/regulations
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout Arizona and the western U.S.
• Assist with development of planning and designs for municipal water/wastewater conveyance pipelines, lift stations, and stormwater drainage structures
• Assist in administration of construction phase activities
• Develop plans and exhibits with CAD and GIS
