Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker Internship: Electrical Engineering in Towson, MD, onsite. You will perform design and testing for new product development, prototype electronics/mechatronics related to power tools and battery tech, and contribute to cost-reduction projects.

You will prepare solutions with decision matrices and present results to leadership. You’ll be a rising junior/senior pursuing EE, E‑M, or CS, with knowledge of circuit analysis and power electronics; embedded systems and firmware

Qualifications

• Be a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro‑Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and power electronics.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Electrical Engineering design and testing tasks for new product development and cost reduction projects.
• Prototype electronic and/or mechatronic concepts for power tools, batteries, wireless, and jobsite power.
• Prepare solutions with a decision matrix to choose technical direction.
