Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker invites applications for an on-site Electrical Engineering internship in Towson, MD. This paid role supports design, testing, and prototyping for new product development and cost-reduction efforts within a Fortune 500 environment.

You will prototype concepts for power tools, battery studies, wireless connections, and jobsite power, while learning to build BOMs and cost analyses under guidance.

Qualifications

Be a rising junior or senior.
Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and power electronics.
Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development is a plus.
Successfully manages strong academics alongside extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities

Perform Electrical Engineering design and testing tasks for new product development and cost reduction projects.
Help prototype electronic and/or mechatronic product concepts related to power tools, battery studies, wireless connectivity, and jobsite power.
Prepare solutions with a decision matrix to guide technical direction.
Design and construct prototypes, BOMs, and preliminary cost analyses.
Present results to supervisor and Innovation/Technology leadership.
