Job summary
VAA is hiring two Electrical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in Minneapolis, MN. You’ll work with the Electrical team to design systems powering large facilities, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from seasoned engineers.
You'll assist with design, calculations and documentation, learn engineering software, and participate in site visits and cross-disciplinary collaboration. This internship offers growth and potential for future opportunities.
Qualifications

We are hiring two Electrical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real projects and learn how to design electrical systems to power the facilities that feed, fuel and power our world.

Your Role
Curious about what it takes to power a large industrial facility? You'll work with VAA's Electrical team to help design the systems that keep facilities powered, connected and running - while seeing how electrical engineering concepts move from the classroom to real-world applications.
You’ll have opportunities to:
- Assist with electrical design, calculations, drawings and project documentation
- Gain exposure to power distribution, lighting, grounding and circuit design
- Learn and use electrical engineering software and design tools
- Work alongside engineers and designers on real client projects
- Collaborate with mechanical, process, structural, general arrangement and other VAA disciplines
- Participate in project meetings and get out of the office for site visits

Hourly Range: $21.00–$23.00
