Job summary

VAA is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to contribute to real projects in power and industrial facilities. You’ll work with experienced engineers, assist with electrical design, calculations, drawings and project documentation.

You’ll gain exposure to power distribution, lighting, grounding and circuit design, learn engineering software, join site visits and collaborate with multiple disciplines while exploring how classroom concepts apply to real-world applications at VAA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in electrical systems, power and industrial facilities.

We are hiring two Electrical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real projects and learn how to design electrical systems to power the facilities that feed, fuel and power our world.

Your Role

Curious about what it takes to power a large industrial facility? You'll work with VAA's Electrical team to help design the systems that keep facilities powered, connected and running - while seeing how electrical engineering concepts move from the classroom to real-world applications.

You’ll have opportunities to:

• Assist with electrical design, calculations, drawings and project documentation
• Gain exposure to power distribution, lighting, grounding and circuit design
• Learn and use electrical engineering software and design tools
• Work alongside engineers and designers on real client projects
• Collaborate with mechanical, process, structural, general arrangement and other VAA disciplines
• Participate in project meetings and get out of the office for site visits

What You Bring

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
• Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply

• Curiosity, a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in and learn

Hourly Range: $21.00–$23.00
