Job summary

VAA is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Minnesota. You’ll work with the Structural team on designs that support industrial and commercial facilities and learn how engineering decisions become real-world structures.

You’ll assist with calculations, drawings, and details for live client projects while gaining experience with design tools and various structural systems. This internship emphasizes collaboration and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering is required.
• Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in structural design and how buildings and industrial facilities come together.
• Curiosity, a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in and learn.

Responsibilities

We are hiring three Structural Engineering Interns for Summer 2027.

Your Role

Ready to see structural engineering beyond the textbook? You'll work with VAA's Structural team to help design the systems that support complex industrial and commercial facilities - while learning how engineering decisions take shape in the real world.

Hourly Range: $21.00-$23.00
