Job summary

ACCIONA Energía seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the development and construction of renewable energy projects in Chicago. You’ll work on electrical design, contractor coordination, and specifications under experienced engineers, including reviews of drawings, RFIs, and bid evaluations.

You’ll be enrolled in a B.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a B.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering contractors with renewable facility design, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and RFIs.
• Assist project managers with preliminary design of low voltage systems, collection systems, and substations.
• Contribute to the development and updates of electrical specifications and standards for contractors.
• Assist with preparing bid packages and evaluating contractor and supplier proposals.
• Review electrical equipment and material proposals and prepare bid tab evaluations.
• Take on additional engineering support tasks as assigned.
