Job summary

ACCIONA Energía seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to support design, engineering, and construction of renewable energy facilities in Chicago. You will review deliverables, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and help ensure project conformance with technical and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, 2–4 years’ experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD; ArcGIS and hydraulic modeling are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required; EIT preferred.
• 2–4 years of civil engineering experience; wind, solar, or BESS projects highly desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD; ArcGIS, hydraulic modeling, FEM, RSMeans a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review civil and structural deliverables, drawings, specifications, calculations and reports.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve issues, manage RFIs and ensure conformance with project requirements.
• Develop civil design criteria for roads, foundations, geotechnical investigations, drainage, hydrology, O&M buildings, solar tracker foundations and other civil infrastructure.
• Perform site visits to monitor construction quality, safety and engineering compliance; support QA/QC activities.
• Assist with procurement reviews, project estimating, cost forecasting, market analysis and lessons learned.
• Prepare technical reports and KPI metrics to support project execution and internal stakeholders.
