Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support maintenance and engineering projects at our Butler, PA facility. You will participate in predictive and preventative maintenance, analyze performance, and help design and implement improvements to machinery and systems.

The internship offers exposure to plant operations, interaction with engineering leaders, and opportunities to contribute to real-world projects while pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Qualifications

Enrollment in a BS program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical degree.

Responsibilities

Recommend or perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance of equipment.
Research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, redesign, operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
Resolve equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown actions.
Participate in planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
Analyze current operating performance and SOPs and make improvement recommendations.
Support various other projects as needed to assist the business.
