Job summary

Matrix designs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 2027 Summer Internship. The intern will work with engineers and management on new product development, including design, prototyping, and testing of safety-related electronic/electrical products, and maintenance of existing products.

This is a paid internship based at our home office in Newburgh, IN. The role offers exposure to regulatory considerations, design reviews, and documentation creation, with mentorship from experienced

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Able to manage time and multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product design meetings to gather requirements.
• Assist in developing product specifications and research regulatory requirements.
• Build and test design prototypes for concept validation.
• Participate in design reviews and document results.
• Create and maintain documentation such as drawings, test procedures, and reports.
