Throughout your internship, you will have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions, and receive customized training from our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will gain first-hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence. Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative.
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support the Tool & Outdoor team with key activities including:
Assists with the development of software for electrically powered equipment.
Assists senior engineers by developing tests for software components.
Analyzes software problems with test equipment and analysis tools to determine root cause of technical issues.
Assists research and other engineering personnel to prepare design modifications as required.
Assists with the development of embedded software for electrically powered equipment.
Interested in low-level/bare-metal embedded C programming
You will have exposure to several areas of the embedded software team at Stanley Black & Decker. You will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross-functional team of professionals.
The ideal embedded software engineering intern candidate will have the following qualifications:
Be a rising junior or senior.
Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
Firmware testing and electrical designing
Maintains strong academic credentials.
Successfully manages strong academics alongside extracurricular activities.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $22.00- $27.00 per hour. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
