Job summary

STV is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in Boston. This hybrid role requires 3 days in office per week, with preference for a commitment of at least 3 months.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, supporting electrical design for buildings and facilities, performing CAD tasks, field surveys, and calculations. You will develop power, lighting, and fire alarm system designs, generate construction documents, and contribute to proposals under the

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support and be mentored in all aspects of building and facility electrical design.
• Conduct field surveys, calculations, and CAD tasks.
• Prepare power systems diagrams, schematics, and wiring drawings.
• Design grounding grids, lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Assist in preparing technical and cost proposals and change orders.
• Interface with railway clients and utility representatives.
• Develop designs into construction documents under supervision.
