Job summary

Mativ offers an Electrical Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027 at our Whiting, WI site. This on-site internship spans 10+ weeks starting in May 2027 and provides exposure to operations, real-time production, and cross-functional teamwork with mill leadership.

Ideal candidates will show initiative, strong communication, and the ability to analyze information to identify opportunities while learning about paper or paper-based materials processes and safety on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
• Completed at least 1 full year of coursework; preference for 2 years.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Able to analyze information to find opportunities and communicate findings.
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• 18+ and willing to work on the plant floor with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.
• Work on process efficiency improvements and technology advancement.
• Update mill documentation and drawings.
• Attend leadership meetings and report on tasks.
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures and project work.
