Job summary

Forge Atomics in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern/Co‑op to work on reactor electronics for Ember, our 25 MWe nuclear reactor, with hands‑on design, bring‑up and testing responsibilities for Spring 2027 or Summer 2027.

You will be embedded with the engineering team, collaborate daily with technicians and other engineers, perform basic calculations, and help balance cost, efficiency and deployment logistics while relocating if not local.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in engineering, physics or math by start of employment.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internships/project work strongly preferred).
• Comply with U.S. export control regulations; citizenship not required for many countries.

Responsibilities

• Own a well-scoped piece of reactor electronics or electrical hardware end-to-end.
• Apply first-order calculations and empirical formulas to iterate on designs.
• Collaborate daily with technicians and engineers to balance cost, efficiency and deployment logistics.
