Forge Atomics in Los Angeles County seeks Nuclear Engineering Intern/Co-op to contribute to the design and safety analysis of Ember reactor. You will work on core design, fuel cycle analysis, reactivity control, and radiation dose assessment within the simulation toolchain, under mentorship.
The role covers end-to-end nuclear analyses, development of tooling, and close collaboration with engineers across disciplines for a fast-moving design environment.

As a nuclear engineering intern at Forge, you'll contribute directly to the nuclear design and safety analysis of our first reactor, Ember - core design and fuel cycle, reactivity control, and radiation release and dose analysis. You'll work inside our simulation and analysis toolchain alongside the engineers carrying the design from today's working models toward licensing and first criticality, and your analyses will feed real design decisions. Internship and co-op positions are available for the Summer 2027 term.
Pay range:
Your actual level and hourly rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
