Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks talented students to join its Networked Systems and Integrated Fires Group to conduct algorithm development, modeling and analysis for air and missile defense. You will work on sensor data processing, multi-sensor data fusion, and system-of-systems concepts.

Students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with a 3.0 GPA are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Theoretical knowledge in probability theory, statistics, linear algebra, signal processing, time-frequency analysis, communications theory, RF engineering.
  • Able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by start date; must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of distributed air and missile defense systems.
  • Model, analyze, and study performance of existing systems and propose new algorithms and concepts.
  • Join a dynamic, collaborative group with opportunities for learning and growth.
