Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns in Chicago to support Global Facilities projects across manufacturing facilities, data centers, and mission-critical systems. You will assist lead engineers with design updates, data collection, and documentation, applying standard engineering techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
