Job summary

Kairos Power is offering a Summer 2027 Electrical Engineering Internship in Alameda, CA. Interns will support instrumentation and control systems for the KP-FHR test reactor, working with multidisciplinary teams on measurement instrumentation and automated control systems.

Ideal candidates are current EE students with project or lab experience and familiarity with LabVIEW or PLCs. This internship emphasizes hands‑on design, testing, and documentation in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with lab work, research, or prior internship preferred.
• Familiarity with control systems software such as LabVIEW, PLCs, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and operation of instrumentation and control systems.
• Support development and maintenance of measurement instrumentation and automated control systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Document data, results, and engineering reports for project objectives.
