Job summary

IMEG is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Columbus, OH. You will assist in electrical design, research equipment, and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams across healthcare and MEP projects.

Eligible candidates have 2 years toward a BS in Electrical Engineering, with CAD/BIM exposure and strong MS Office skills. The position offers mentorship, an ESOP culture, and a path to full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled and completing at least two years toward a BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Exposure to CAD and/or BIM tools is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Assist design of electrical systems for projects according to code and IMEG standards
  • Research commercially available equipment and supporting resources
  • Support client relations and document project decisions for records
  • Coordinate design and schedules with multidisciplinary teams
  • Document decisions, meetings, and client instructions during progress
  • Review project documents for accuracy before final checks
  • Prepare and issue addendum information
  • Conduct periodic job-site observations and support other contract services
