Job summary

Legence is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering intern to join our Summer Internship Program in San Diego. You will work with the Electrical Engineering team on real projects, gaining hands-on experience in both office and field settings, and contribute to client project deliverables.

The program runs 10–12 weeks from June to August/September, including design, prototyping, testing, and documentation. Mentorship and site visits are included, with internal trainings.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Electrical Engineering.
• Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus
• FE/EIT is a plus
• Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards
• Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and multiple-engagement environment, teamwork, initiative, adaptability, and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in the execution of ongoing projects.
• Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
• Contribute to design process by creating and modifying engineering drawings.
• Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate design concepts.
• Assist in conducting tests to ensure functionality and reliability of solutions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
• Generate reports and summaries to communicate project progress.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
