Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern in its Large Power Converters Product Engineering team. The role provides hands-on experience with large UPS and power-conversion systems while working alongside experienced engineers in a laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering laboratory testing of UPS and power-conversion equipment.
• Help set up tests and collect electrical measurements and test data.
• Assist with reviewing and organizing test results.
• Learn to use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, current probes, and power analyzers.
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting and investigation of product issues.
• Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system drawings with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Document test results and engineering observations.
• Prepare and update test procedures, technical reports, drawings and other documentation.
• Assist with basic analysis of electrical waveforms, event logs, and operating data.
• Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting discussions, and product meetings.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to understand product lifecycle.
• Support other projects as needed.
• Follow electrical and laboratory safety procedures.
