Job summary

Antares is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support design and testing of electrical systems for compact nuclear reactors. You will start with focused starter projects and progress to a longer project with a technical deliverable and presentation.

You will join a team evaluating you like a first-year engineer, with mentors and resources to help you grow, and a strong emphasis on hands-on hardware work and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ months of technical engineering skills outside of the university setting (lab, project teams, internships).

Responsibilities

• Redesign PCBAs for new reactor systems.
• Develop schematics, select components, and support PCB layout and design reviews.
• Design electrical harnesses, wiring diagrams, connectors, and routing.
• Build and test prototype boards and assemblies.
• Develop and execute hardware‑in‑the‑loop tests.
• Support system‑level test infrastructure for hardware qualification.
• Troubleshoot electrical hardware and identify root causes of failures.
• Analyze test data and propose design improvements.
• Create design, test, and configuration documentation.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, controls, and test engineers to integrate designs.
