Job summary

Knobelsdorff in Goodhue, MN is seeking an Electrical Engineering‑focused intern to join a team delivering automation, electrical, energy, and power services. You will coordinate documents, model layouts in 2D/3D, and work with design and construction teams.

You will gain hands-on experience with electrical equipment, createSchedules, and participate in project coordination, reporting progress daily to leadership, with travel to out-of-town sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing education in Electrical Engineering or other engineering disciplines.
• Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Willing to work on some out-of-town projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating work and construction documents with internal stakeholders.
• Modeling of equipment and raceways layouts in both 2D and 3D.
• Exposure to industry specific software tools for design and analysis of project specifics.
• Designing and working with electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, switchgear, MCCs, panel boards, and control cabinets.
• Create and edit schedules such as panel schedules and conduit/cable schedules.
• Project specific equipment, installation and quality exposure in coordination between internal and external design personnel and construction personnel.
• On site exposure to build comprehension of drawing details to construction activities.
• Additional duties as assigned.
