Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to work in our Fairfax, VA office. You will assist in designing electrical systems and producing construction documents for a range of commercial and institutional projects.

You will work in a multi-disciplined team, supporting power distribution, lighting design, and life safety planning while developing practical skills and professional connections within a leading engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering required.
• Knowledge or interest in using AutoCAD 2D and 3D, and Revit MEP.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
• Must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and production of electrical construction documents for various project types.
• Contribute to the design of building systems (power distribution and lighting) and life safety plans.
• Collaborate in a multi-discipline team environment to support project delivery.
