Job summary

The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State is seeking an Electrical Engineering Support Specialist to join the Electrical and Mechanical Solutions Department. You will contribute to projects supporting DoD missions, performing fabrication, assembly, and validation of hardware, and provide field support at locations worldwide.

You will work on test equipment, assist with data collection, and collaborate with a team of researchers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Electronics and electro-mechanics components; reading schematics and datasheets.
• Experience with electronic test equipment and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly operations and fabrication of deliverable equipment.
• Evaluate, procure materials, interact with vendors and meet specs.
• Install, calibrate, operate, and maintain equipment and systems.
• Assist in identifying system faults and repairs; document test data.
