Job summary

Ruveon is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co‑op to support troubleshooting, design, installation, and start‑up of electrical and automatic process control systems in a chemical plant environment.

You will work with experienced engineers, production and technical staff to improve reliability, safety and cost‑effectiveness of equipment while gaining hands‑on exposure to maintenance, reliability and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering.
• Successfully completed sophomore year or higher.
• Ability to drive to and from the work location.
• Willingness to work in a chemical plant environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week and climb stairs and ladders.
• Available for a 6‑month Co‑op assignment for Spring 2027 or Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and provide recommendations to improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Support the design, installation, and start‑up of automatic process control, material handling, and distributed control systems.
• Assist engineers in developing project objectives and scope by analyzing customer requirements and producing sketches, drawings, descriptions, or specs for approval.
• Help ensure compliance with engineering standards, OSHA/EPA, plant safety standards and safety design on all projects.
• Collaborate with other engineers to gain insight into maintenance and reliability programs in chemical plants.
• Perform and check engineering calculations following standard methods for assigned projects.
• Assist with procurement processes including equipment specs, bid evaluations, and contract administration.
• Support cost, feasibility and planning studies by analyzing needs and data and coordinating with other engineers.
