Job summary

Siemens’ Electrification and Automation division is seeking Electrical Engineering Co-op students for a Summer–Fall 2027 program based in Wendell, NC. You'll contribute to power distribution project support and documentation while learning protection and power system concepts in a collaborative setting.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a bachelor's or master's in Electrical Engineering, have coursework in Power Systems, and are enrolled in the NC State University co-op program.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Completed coursework in Power Systems and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) during Summer and Fall 2027.
  • Candidates must be enrolled with the NC State University co-op program.
  • Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; no relocation support.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Support electrical engineering projects related to medium-voltage power distribution equipment.
  • Review engineering drawings and technical documentation to support project execution.
  • Assist Lead Project Engineers with engineering deliverables and documentation.
  • Support process improvement and engineering documentation initiatives.
  • Gain exposure to protection and power system concepts for data center and utility applications.
