Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co‑op/Intern to join one of our mills across multiple locations in the United States. The role offers exposure to electrical reliability, project engineering, and process control functions, with hands-on experience on mill electrical equipment, drawings, and documentation.

Starting pay is $25.00–$30.00 per hour, with eligibility for standard benefits as described in PCA postings.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 and permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
• Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field and have completed freshman year.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical reliability, project engineering or process control co‑op tracks.
• Assist with planning, design, installation, commissioning, and startup of mill electrical equipment.
• Update drawings and project documentation using AutoCAD, P&ID, and related software.
• Coordinate with engineers, operations, and contractors to ensure safe project execution.
• Collect and analyze process data to support troubleshooting and optimization.
