Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting Electrical Engineering Co-ops for the Summer 2027 term in Cincinnati, OH. You will work on electrical/electromechanical surgical instruments, robotics, and data systems, with access to state-of-the-art tools for testing and validation.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Must have completed a minimum of two semesters before the co-op term.
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S. for the full duration of the co-op term.
• Knowledge in analog hardware design and analysis, embedded systems, circuit troubleshooting, test measurements, and scripting with MATLAB/Python is desired.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teams developing electrical and electromechanical surgical instruments or systems.
• Use state-of-the-art tools to perform testing, experimentation, and validation in product design.
• Assist in data acquisition, analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation of prototypes.
• Gain product development experience from concept to prototyping and testing, including firmware and software basics.
• Rotations are 3–4 months with housing resources and support for non-local students.
