McClure Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineering student for an 8-month Co-Op program. You will work under the supervision of an experienced engineer on MEP projects, performing electrical design of lighting, power, and communication systems, and collaborating on construction documents.

You will apply engineering calculations across multiple projects and assist in the design and development of electrical systems. Strong communication is essential.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Successful completion of sophomore or junior year.
• GPA of 3.3 cumulative or higher.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform electrical design of lighting, power distribution and communication systems including fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical Drafter/Designers on construction documents (drawings and specifications).
• Apply engineering calculations across multiple projects.

• Research commercially available equipment and select equipment appropriate for project/client needs.
• Solve complex problems during design and construction phases of MEP projects.
• Provide excellent communication to all stakeholders.
• Perform field inspections to verify existing site conditions.

McClure Engineering is searching for an Electrical Engineering student to be a part of our 8 month Co-Op Program.

Under the supervision of a more experienced Engineer, a Co-Op student will be exposed to:

• Perform electrical design of lighting, power distribution and communication systems including fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical Drafter/Designers on the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications)
• Apply engineering calculations across multiple projects
• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and circuits
• Research commercially available equipment and select equipment appropriate for project/client needs.
• Solve complex problems during both design and construction phases of MEP projects
• Provide excellent communication to all stakeholders

Perform field inspections to verify existing site conditions.

Requirements

• Pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Successful completion of Sophomore or Junior Year
• G.P.A. - 3.3 cumulative or above
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and effective user support
• Capable of engaging in physical activities such as climbing, kneeling, crouching and lifting up to 50lbs

The Work Environment:

• Work environment is primarily indoors at firms’ facility, with approximately 10% of time spent indoors/outdoors at project or construction sites where hard-hat and other safety gear is often required. (PPE is provided by firm.)
• While performing field work associated with this position employee will be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and carry and/or climb ladders of varying heights. The employee may lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
