Job description

Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)

We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and improve cutting‑edge AI models. Your technical expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems to signal processing.

This is a flexible, fully remote contract role where your domain knowledge makes a real difference in the quality and reliability of next‑generation AI.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
  • Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering scenarios across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and embedded systems to rigorously test AI performance
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step‑by‑step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated outputs including code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
  • Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps or flaws in AI-generated engineering reasoning and provide structured, constructive feedback to improve model performance
  • Work Asynchronously — Complete assignments independently on a schedule that works for you
Who You Are
  • Hold or are pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Have strong foundational expertise in one or more of: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, signal processing, or embedded systems
  • Can communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
  • Have a sharp eye for mathematical accuracy, circuit logic, and technical documentation
  • Are self‑motivated and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, data labeling, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
  • Background in technical writing or engineering documentation
Why Join Us
  • Work on meaningful projects with top AI research labs and teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and workload
  • Gain rare, hands‑on insight into how advanced large language models are trained and evaluated
  • Freelance autonomy with the backing of an established AI organization
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
