Hirerising is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design electrical power systems for water and wastewater facilities in Phoenix, Arizona. This role emphasizes hands‑on design, code compliance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–12 years of electrical engineering experience, strong power system knowledge, and proficiency with Word/Excel. Familiarity with field startup activities and industry standards is required for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–12 years of professional Electrical Engineering experience.
• Experience designing electrical power systems for water/wastewater treatment or similar facilities.
• Strong understanding of power system applications, including harmonic distortion and power factor.
• Field investigation and project start-up/commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC.
• Familiarity with IEEE Color Books and applicable standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater facilities with minimal supervision.
• Develop electrical designs and engineering documentation per project requirements and industry standards.
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short‑circuit analysis, and other power system studies.
• Design and develop detailed conduit routing, MCCs, switchgear, and related electrical systems.
• Prepare electrical specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Support field investigations, equipment evaluations, and project start‑up/commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Apply electrical codes and standards throughout the design process.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
