Job summary

The DDS Companies is hiring an Electrical Engineer to support the design of electrical, instrumentation & control systems for natural gas facilities. The role offers growth across multiple project phases from concept to construction, with exposure to senior engineers, field personnel and clients.

The candidate will design and develop electrical systems, create design packages, and coordinate with civil/mechanical teams to deliver compliant, constructible solutions.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant electrical design experience in utility, industrial, energy or process facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar field is required.
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Office programs and calculation software.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, or improve electrical systems for existing or new facilities, components and equipment.
• Prepare electrical design packages: one-line diagrams, panel schedules, conduit layouts, lighting plans, grounding, UPS and SCADA integration.
• Create detailed design drawings and calculations using AutoCAD and related tools.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers and field personnel to develop practical designs.
• Write reports and compile data for electrical projects and studies.
• Support field walks, design reviews and construction activities as needed.
