Job summary

DDS Engineering & Surveying, LLP (DDSE) seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and project execution for gas distribution and RNG/LNG facilities. The role requires PE licensure, a strong background in power distribution, and client-facing leadership.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, review EI&C deliverables, and contribute to construction-ready designs, with opportunities to advance within a growing energy division. Office location flexibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer license required; licensure in any U.S. state acceptable with ability to obtain others.
• Typically 10+ years in utility/industrial electrical engineering roles.
• Experience leading technical reviews and quality oversight of electrical deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, grounding, hazardous area requirements, and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical review and technical oversight of electrical, instrumentation, and controls deliverables for gas facilities.
• Serve as electrical SME on client-facing calls and design reviews.
• Provide direction on one-line diagrams, panel schedules, grounding plans and lighting details.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations including load, voltage drop, and short circuit analyses.
• Mentor junior staff and support development of drawings and plan packages using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and provide project support from design to construction.
