Job summary

Continental Resources, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to support electrical engineering needs across land-based oil and gas assets. The role collaborates with production, facility engineers, and I&E personnel to deliver well‑engineered power solutions.

Responsibilities include setting technical standards, specifying materials, designing facility power and control systems, and performing power-system studies with SKM/ETAP. Travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam passed, current EIT leading to PE licensure.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Electrical power infrastructure knowledge and understanding.
  • NFPA 70E, NEC and other electrical codes/standards (IEEE, IES, NESC, RUS).
  • Upstream oil and gas industry codes and practices (API RPs).
  • Experience with modeling and analysis of electrical power systems.
  • I&E design drawings, programmable control logic, and device communication protocols.
  • Project management experience.
  • Pre-employment background screen and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for development and updating technical standards and practices.
  • Prepare electrical specifications for materials and services.
  • Coordinate and manage electrical design and installation of facility and power systems.
  • Work with power delivery partners to evaluate cost-effective energy choices.
  • Interpret and disseminate electrical code requirements for Operations.
  • Analyze power data to determine operating efficiencies.
  • Develop practices and processes to support growing electrical needs.
  • Perform or coordinate power-system studies using SKM, ETAP, or comparable tools.
  • Interface with Business Units at all levels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
