Job summary

ERMCO in Bristol, WI, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of medium/low voltage distribution transformers and related systems. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and R&D to meet specs, standards, and cost targets.

You will mentor junior engineers, support NPI, perform detailed electrical calculations, and review drawings, BOMs, and test data. Travel monthly to Reynosa, MX or Celina, TN is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in the dry type distribution transformer field.
• Experience with medium/low voltage transformer design.
• Strong knowledge of IEEE/ANSI/NEMA/DOE standards.
• ERP/engineering systems familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical distribution dry type transformers.
• Perform core/coil, impedance, loss, thermal, and short-circuit calculations.
• Develop drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Support NPI from concept to production launch.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE/ANSI/NEMA/UL/CSA/DOE standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Travel monthly to Reynosa, MX or Celina, TN.
