Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

We welcome candidates at the entry/junior level who demonstrate experience in the areas listed below or a proven track record of academic or project success (GPA, successful projects, etc.)

Experienced Physical Electrical Design Engineers (4+ years) are expected to demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

• Design layouts, section views, specify conductor types, connectors, BOM.
• Conduct associated studies such as grounding, lightning, bus sizing, etc.
• Collaborate with other disciplines with opportunities to learn outside of the discipline.
• Inventor 3D design experience is a big plus.

Experienced P&C engineers (4+ years) are expected to demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

• Create scoping documents based on high level instructions.
• Generate one lines, three lines, AC elementary, DC elementary and wiring diagrams working with a drafter and/or a designer with varying level of markups.
• Setup communication schemes based on client standards or best practices.
• Design logic diagrams to achieve the desired schemes.
• Setup SCADA and ALARM Point Assignment Sheets.

Additional experience that would be a plus but not required includes:

• SCADA Programming, HMI, Automation, Orion LX /Novatech, DNP and other protocols.
• 61850 Goose messaging.
• Other aspects of substation design; any experience from other trades within substation design is a plus such as physical electrical design, transmission line design etc.

Experienced relay settings engineers (4+ years) are expected to demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

• Direct experience with configuring and developing relay settings for SEL (accelerator) and GE (EnerVista) is required. Experience with other relay types (Bassler, ABB, Siemens etc.) is preferred but not required.
• CAPE and/or Aspen: Setup LZOP, CT, PT, Relay and conduct coordination study.
• Experience producing relay settings for variety of line relay setting philosophies: Line Diff, POTT, DCB, Step Distance using excel or MathCAD.
• Experience with variety of other assets: Bus protection, Transformer protection, Cap bank, reactor protection etc.
• Ability to develop protection and control drawings such as one lines, relay and AC/DC control schematics.
