Job summary

Liberty Steel USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support steelmaking equipment, power distribution, and automation. You will troubleshoot complex electrical and control issues, implement improvements, and coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and contractors to keep lines running.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years in a related field, and proficiency with AutoCAD and documentation practices. On-site Peoria location with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting steelmaking equipment and automation.
• 3+ years in electrical engineering in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Ability to read schematics and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and control system failures and restore equipment safely.
• Develop improvements to motors, drives, instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, and power distribution.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Coordinate projects, outages, and contractor work with Operations and Maintenance.
• Support preventive maintenance and a robust documentation culture.
