Job description

Steel mill needs an Electrical Engineer to be part of the engineering maintenance team, providing services to the operations and maintenance departments. Your responsibilities will include plant power distribution and controls engineering throughout the plant. This job is in Virginia. Please apply if you would consider relocating to Virginia.

Please do not apply if you need any kind of visa support. The company is not considering candidates with OPT or H1-B EADs. You must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident to be considered.

• Must have a heavy industrial background. Experience in primary metals, such as aluminum or steel, paper, lumber, concrete, automotive, mining would be a good fit.
• High and medium voltage power distribution, including protective relaying and switchgear maintenance.
• Capital equipment maintenance or construction projects, including planning for shutdowns.
• Controls and automation projects, including Variable Frequency Drives, robotics, PLC’s.
