Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will provide critical technical leadership for our steel mill operations, directly supervising daytime electricians and overseeing shift electricians. This role combines hands‑on electrical maintenance expertise with project management and preventive maintenance strategies to ensure optimal operational performance.

Duties

• Lead and supervise the electrical maintenance team, providing technical guidance and mentorship
• Champion safety initiatives, policies, and procedures across all electrical operations
• Identify and implement solutions for issues related to safety, quality, and production
• Manage electrical capital projects from concept through implementation
• Organize and execute downturn maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems
• Update and maintain electrical documentation and schematics
• Provide electrical support for day‑to‑day operations and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Previous electrical maintenance experience in industrial settings
• Demonstrated familiarity with motor controls, VFDs, and power distribution systems
• Experience with industrial automation systems preferred
