Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems in Owego, NY is seeking a Senior Power Engineer to provide technical leadership for unit-level power systems across Digital and RF programs. You will design, analyze, troubleshoot, and integrate power solutions at CCA and unit levels, guiding hardware teams and suppliers.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, develop test procedures, prepare reports, and present results to customers, collaborating with systems, hardware, RF, digital, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, or system engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4 years or more of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.
• Professional working knowledge of analog circuits.
• Skilled in modeling circuit behavior using Spice tools.
• Experience with component selection and derating.
• High proficiency using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and benchtop power supplies and other basic lab equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance at the Secret level (will require US Citizenship).
• Ability to travel up to or less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing, analysis, and troubleshooting activities as required.
• Prepare technical presentations for program reviews and present technical results to customers.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, RF, digital, manufacturing, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines.

The Work

As a Senior Power Engineer, you’ll provide technical leadership for unit-level power systems supporting Digital and RF programs. You’ll design, analyze, troubleshoot, and integrate power solutions at the circuit card assembly (CCA) and unit levels.You will:

Desired Skills

• Experience guiding and reviewing the designs of entry-level hardware engineers.
• Experience with analyzing and designing isolated and non-isolated DC/DC converters, switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), and Point-of-Load (POL) regulators.
• Experience using component layout, board layout, and schematic capture tools.
• Experience programing and utilizing programmable power supplies.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-461.
• Knowledge of VITA specifications.
• Experience with specifications writing and review, and tracking requirements through product lifecycle management tools to ensure full compliance with customer requirements.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
