Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer to strengthen our team delivering renewable energy projects across the United States, with the freedom to work remotely or from Energy offices. The role covers PV, BESS, interconnection, and storage systems across rooftop, carport, and ground-mount installations.

You will design, model energy production, develop specs, perform NEC-based calculations, and support projects through all life cycle stages, with occasional travel to meetings.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in electrical design for renewable energy projects.
• Experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design work on assigned renewable projects under supervision.
• Develop design schedules and budgets with project engineers/managers.
• Design PV and BESS systems including layouts, energy modeling, and interconnections.
• Produce construction drawings, specs, and NEC-based calculations.
• Support projects through feasibility, detail design, bid, construction, startup, and commissioning.
