Job summary

Stadler Signaling in the United States is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Signaling) to lead the integration of electrical systems within complex signaling environments, including trains and wayside infrastructure. You will apply strong electrical engineering principles, safety standards, and regulatory compliance while coordinating across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in railway, defense, automotive, aerospace or related industries.
  • Structured way of working to manage integration of multiple projects, conduct testing and prepare all deliverables associated within the system.
  • Ability to read and implement electrical schematics.
  • Experience in electrical / mechanical CAD design (e.g. Catia V5 or NX).
  • Experience with schematic software (e.g. E3 or Ruplan).
  • Experience working with PLM, ERP and ECN systems (e.g. SmarTeam).
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong teamwork skills with inter-departmental colleagues.
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the mechanical design and integration of electrical enclosures, cabinets and cable ducts
  • Creation of the electrical function overviews in E-CAD as a basis for schematic drawings
  • Create concepts, specifications and other related technical documentation
  • Follow scheduling, budgetary goals and guidelines
  • Support Procurement, Production, Commissioning and Type Testing departments
  • Interpret and incorporate local, federal and customer requirements into system design
  • Take ownership of the design, documentation and function of sub-systems
  • Responsible for performing FAIs for various systems, if necessary
  • Integration of electrical systems into our vehicles
  • Responsible for various subsystems in Electrical Engineering
  • Technical coordination with other disciplines (installation planning, mechanical engineering, fire protection, etc.)

HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT

As an Electrical Engineer (Signaling), you will be responsible for the integration of electrical systems within com plex signaling environments, such as trains and railway wayside infrastructure. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical leadership, innovation, and the ability to manage multiple engineering projects with minimal supervision
