Job summary

Stadler Signaling seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the integration of electrical systems within rail signaling environments. You will design enclosures, cabinets, and cable ducts, and ensure proper operation in rail vehicles.

The role requires reading schematics, CAD design in Catia V5 or NX, and collaboration across teams. With 5–8 years of relevant experience and proficiency in English (German a plus), you will coordinate with procurement, production and testing to deliver

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 5–8 years of relevant railway/defense/automotive/aerospace experience.
  • Ability to read and implement electrical schematics.
  • Experience with electrical/mechanical CAD design (Catia V5 or NX).
  • Experience with schematic software (E3 or Ruplan).
  • Experience with PLM, ERP and ECN systems (SmarTeam).
  • Fluent in English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the mechanical design and integration of electrical enclosures, cabinets and cable ducts.
  • Integrate electrical equipment and systems into rail vehicles with proper function.
  • Create electrical function overviews in E-CAD as a basis for schematic drawings.
  • Create concepts, specifications and other related technical documentation.
  • Support Procurement, Production, Commissioning and Type Testing departments.
  • Interpret and incorporate local, federal and customer requirements into system design.
  • Take ownership of the design, documentation and function of sub-systems.
  • Perform FAIs for various systems, if necessary.
  • Integrate electrical systems into our vehicles/third party vehicles.
  • Redline electrical schematics.
  • Technical coordination with other disciplines.
