Job summary

Brooks Automation US LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to advance semiconductor atmospheric solutions. You will develop PCBs and system controllers, work with mechanical and software teams, and contribute to design reviews and lab prototyping.

The role emphasizes strong troubleshooting, communication, and independent learning in a hybrid work setting. Base salary ranges from $110,621 to $149,665 USD with discretionary bonuses and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with SPICE modeling and analysis.
• Digital circuit design with microcontrollers and communication protocols (SPI/I2C/Serial).
• Design of DC‑DC power supply circuits.
• Component selection and data‑sheet interpretation.
• Cable design expertise.
• Proficiency using standard lab equipment and tools; prototyping and debugging circuits in a lab.
• Competency in Altium is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, technical communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to learn complex systems quickly and work independently.
• Proficiency in standard Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Developing new PCBs for system and robot controllers and creating Engineering Design Specifications.
• Delivering technical presentations and resolving cross‑functional issues.
• Ensuring proper documentation, consistent use of processes and systems, and adherence to engineering design standards.
• Collaborating with mechanical and software engineers on complete product solutions.
• Participating in design reviews, addressing customer and operations inquiries, and conducting hands‑on prototyping or testing in labs.
